A seasoned professional, Justin decided to pursue his passion in early 2012 by setting up an events catering company. Servicing anything from small garden barbecues, weddings and street parties, right through to the large music festivals. But, it's the festivals that Justin really enjoys doing and wanted to focus his attention.
After establishing a name and position in respect of the vision and Justin's aspirations for the business, Because of the nature of the sector and the target audience it was important to communicate a personable service that is very much to do with Justin and his team. Developing a hand rendered design with a slight scrap book quality for the identity and website, gave us the right tone and quality.
It's a fine balance between alienating an audience, in order to attract another. The visual direction couldn't be too scrap book or flippant in it's approach, as we didn't want to push anyone away. However, catering that is a part of the event, not aside from it, is the proposition. Parties, festivals and outdoor events, is very much the theme.
For reason already mentioned I felt that the illustrations couldn't be too polished or considered, so that communication maintains a natural feel that's fun and consistent with the direction.
